It is an honour to be considered as your newborn photographer. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture those magical first days of the newest member of your family.. Enjoy an all-inclusive experience with every detail covered for you.
Newborn sessions should be booked in your second trimester to avoid disappointment as I book up fully every month. I like to photograph your newborn in the very short window of between 5-15 days new. A tentative date is set when booking, which can be adjusted if your baby is significantly early or late. If you are past your second trimester, please still reach out, as I may have some last minute schedule shifting!
All newborn sessions are done in the comfort of my beautiful home studio, with the temperature and atmosphere just right for your new baby. All outfits, accessories and props are provided for your newborn. Outfits from my Client Closet are available for all members of the family, as well as optional hair and makeup service for new mothers.
My session pricing is based on number of individuals in the sessions, not on studio time. With newborns (and their siblings!) things can happen to reduce or increase the time of your session, but typically all sessions are between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, with the exception of Petite sessions which are priced to have a time limit.
All collections include fully hand-edited, high resolution digital images ("selections") chosen by you from an online proof gallery presented to you within 14 days of your session. Additional fully edited digital selections may be purchased for $40.00 each, or $150.00 for five. My exclusive editing style is both detailed and timeless, as true artwork is meant to be.

You may wonder how on earth do I book a session when we all know that babies rarely arrive on their due date?
As I photograph newborns when they are 5-15 days new., I pre-book a date for your session approximately 7-10 days after your expected due date. This gives us a good starting point, and if you deliver significantly early or late, we can adjust the date once your baby arrives.
I only pre-book three newborns per week, allowing these clients the flexibility to change the date if needed.
The Booking Date
Let me know when your little one arrives so I can confirm your date and send you all of the information you will need for your session.
Once your date is confirmed, you will receive a detailed email including:
- Styling information, which will help me create sets unique to your tastes, as well as communication about any Client Closet requests;
- Preparation advice for the day including foods to avoid when breastfeeding (prevent gassy babies!), how to prepare toddlers for their photo session with their new sibling, etc.
- What to bring;
- Directions to my studio.

Keep in Touch
My studio will be very warm when you arrive. This is for the comfort of your baby and helps me perfect those beautiful poses in my portfolio.
If you are having family, parent and/or sibling photographs taken, I start with these so you can relax and enjoy the rest of your session.
You can change into any outfits chosen from my Client Closet in the Client Lounge area, while I wrap and accessorize your new baby and get them ready for the session.
If you have young children, it is best to have someone take them home after the family portion of the session so they do not become tired, uncomfortable or restless when their part of the session is complete.
I have cold water, coffee and light snacks in my studio for you.
Photo Session Day!
Within 14 days of your session (unless otherwise stated), you will receive an email with a link to your private online Proof Gallery. You will have 14 days to select your favourites for me to edit.
These selections will be carefully edited in my personal style and will be presented to you for your review,.
Following your approval, you will receive a link to your high resolution, fully edited digital selections which you will be able to download. You will also be able to purchase archival lustre prints, hand-stretched ready to hang canvases, Fine Art Folio Boxes, and popular collections right from your gallery. Printed artwork will be delivered right to your door.
